Not sure what is for sale here as the same seller is flogging the grey motor separately or a grand, prehaps I may a suspicious mind, that comes from buying stuff on line.
There is a ute body and the seller was serious enough to put it on a rotisserie so could be a winner.
It is at Lavington NSW

Ad's gone now but I did see it. I believe my uncle bought that car a few years ago to rebuild then sold on before doing any work. I didn't think it was a junker, but many a project ends up being sold in bits...

QuoteEx Australian Army Holden FC 217 business sedan. One of the rarest holdens ever built , it is believed only seven 217s are known to still exist. Needs restoration.

You know how long I have been collecting car ID details. :P
In that time I have amassed details from about 3000 FE and FC's
I have just 8 FC 217's recorded
2 of them were wrecks - don't exist anymore. Just the plate remains.

The reason for the rarity is that they were discontinued at the end of 1958 and only about 300 were made in total. The highest body number I have recorded from the 8 cars is number 292.

Let me put it this way, FE wagons are commonplace in comparison. ;D
