hi guys i have an fc ute i have installed an hr front end and have stayed with the old grey motor i used the fc out rigger and i have completely replaced the steering components with hr parts the problem is now the sump position is to low do i need to change the sump for some other model or do i alter the origanal all help would be greatly apprecated

Using the FC outrigger was your mistake - use an FB EK or EJ outrigger. It will get the engine at the right height. The HR steering gear does just touch the grey sump on full lock - it's better to use the FC steering gear if you have the grey engine, other wise you need to modify the sump a little bit.

Hi Wayne,
I think it is because the EH was the first of the red motors and is not right for the mighty grey.

No matter how much you push the envelope, It'll still be stationery

That's right - there is no front engine mount spot on an EH outrigger
